10 learnings about AI and women to apply in your day-to-day life

Artificial Intelligence is already transforming the way we work. But not everyone is adopting it at the same pace, or with the same opportunities.
In this webinar with Stephany Oliverosfounder of SHEAI and researcher specialized in Generative AI, we explore how to stop being spectators of change and become protagonists of our own digital transformation.
During the webinar, Stephany shared a practical, ethical and very down-to-earth practical, ethical and very grounded vision on the use of AI in everyday life, focusing on how this technology can become a real tool to empower female talent in Spain. She focused on how this technology can become a real tool to empower female talent in Spain.
Stephany’s 5 tips for using AI in your day-to-day life
1. Don’t use ChatGPT for everything
If you need to search for factual data or sourced information, don’t rely on ChatGPT alone. Stephany recommends using tools such as Perplexitywhich provide answers with cited references and facilitate more reliable research.
2. Train your own way of working with AI
Opening a new chat every time is not always the best option. One of the keys is to create workspaces or chats with customized instructionswho know your tone, your objectives and your way of communicating.
3. Turn AI into an ally of your routines.
AI is not just for answering questions. It can also help you organize tasks, prepare drafts or structure your day.. The idea is not to use it as a search engine, but as a real support in your workflows.
4. Work with your own documents to avoid errors
When you need precision, it is best to rely on tools such as NotebookLMwhich allow you to upload your own own PDFs or materials and work solely on that basis.. In this way you reduce the risk of invented or out-of-context answers.
5. Never copy and paste without proofreading
One of the most important reminders from the webinar: AI accelerates, but does not replace judgment. Stephany insisted on the 10% rule: always reserve a portion of time to review, tweak and curate what the tool generates.
5 facts you need to know about the gender gap and AI
1. The adoption gap exists
Currently, men use AI more than women: 54% versus 35%. A difference that not only speaks of access to tools, but also of confidence, training and context of use.
2. The impact of automation will not be neutral.
80% of jobs that AI could automate by 2030 are occupied by women. This makes it even more urgent to push for a more inclusive and conscious technological adoption.
3. AI is also wrong
Stephany recalled that models such as ChatGPT can invent data or “hallucinate”, especially in complex tasks. That’s why, working with AI is not about delegating without thinking, but about knowing how to validate and contrast.
4. Bias is at the source
A very significant part of the data on which the first models were trained came from very specific profiles, mainly male and western. This directly influences the type of responses, references and frames returned by the AI.
5. Closing the gap is not just a question of ethics
Bridging the gender gap in AI is not only important from a societal point of view. It would also have a huge economic impactwith the capacity to increase global GDP very significantly. significantly.
What did we take away from the session?
