Wallbox is a Barcelona-based company, founded just five years ago. It is one of the leading companies in its main product: the manufacture, distribution and installation of domestic chargers for electric cars. It is a young company, but with an exponential growth, which despite its short life has already managed to be listed on the stock exchange. The company's highly distributed production line and the power of its technology stand out.

The challenge

One-stop training for both employees and external users

Wallbox was using another platform for online training that gave the company neither the ability to segment audiences nor the ability to separate content. Thus, Wallbox's main challenge was to find a way to reach and train many more users in all its products, with a more efficient customized platform.

Personalized training courses for each type of user

The need to segment content by country and language, and to automate processes, both for the selection of content according to user needs and for the direct segregation of users according to their characteristics, right from the registration form itself. The previous platform did not allow them to meet any of these challenges, so the process of attracting users and assigning content, a manual process, was slow because it was neither automatable, scalable nor efficient.

Our proposal

An automated training ecosystem tailor-made for Wallbox

An e-learning ecosystem with customized training paths for each user and efficiency in the automation of content selection and user classification processes. Totara has made it possible to divide audiences according to their needs, and to tailor specific content to the users who need it most easily. They emphasize the ability to customize content, not only by themes or users, but also by countries and languages (currently eight languages). Wallbox's specific training paths are technological, and therefore change according to countries, so filtering users and content automatically has proved to be a fundamental advance for its users.

Process automation and data visualization both in Totara and in the company's system.

The categorization of external users is done from the registration form itself. Users from each country, when registering, provide information about the country in which they live and what language they speak, and also whether they are installers or salespeople, and so it is automatically decided which catalog of training content is automatically offered to them. For internal users Wallbox has an HR Import synchronization system, where through an Excel template they can upload users to know what training they have to have available on the platform.

The results

arrow

The implementation of Totara has resulted in time savings of 33% and an increase in process efficiency of 76%.

Process automation and user segmentation have meant that the total annual administration time has gone from 1,300 hours to 1,000 hours, for a total time savings of 300 hours per year.

More investment in high quality content

The old platform used by the company for online training was more than three times the cost, and allowed a reach of only half the number of users. This efficiency has meant being able to invest in other areas of the training platform, creating high quality content, videos and optimizing processes.

Implementation in record time and high user satisfaction

The evaluation of the platform by users has been very good, with an average NPS (Net Promoter Score) in recent months of 47, which has reached 63, and a Satisfaction CSAT (Satisfaction CSAT) of 8.41 out of 10.

It took only two months from the start of the project until the platform was up and running. Since then, more than 2,000 courses have been published with 11,900 registrations reaching a 71% compliance rate. Most of the users are external, 91% of the total.
